VAT Advice and Compliance

UK VAT (Value Added Tax) is a complex and difficult area of taxation, frequently amended with new rules and procedures, which affects most businesses and organisations. We understand the complexities surrounding VAT and are here to offer solutions.

VAT Is a tax that turns up almost everywhere. Even when it is not being charged, it can be an issue for businesses where they pay VAT on costs, which they cannot reclaim.

As a tax on transactions and movements (of goods) it has a wide impact on not only businesses, but also individuals, government bodies and charities. Unfortunately, it is usually only noticed when it creates unexpected and rather painful difficulties. At that stage, resolving issues can become more expensive and time consuming.

MANAGING VAT

Embracing the complexities of VAT at an early stage is not always easy, but it does reap rewards. With the right approach VAT recoveries can be maximised, VAT on sales can be minimised and the cash-flow impact of VAT can be better managed. Those dreaded VAT inspections can also be managed to either be avoided, or become much less of an ordeal.

This is where we can help. We can assist with everything from the more complicated demands of structuring a large property deal or international trade structure, outsourcing your VAT return and compliance function through to successfully dealing with HMRC enquiries.
