Richard will head up the VAT department to continue to broaden the firm’s service offering for new and existing clients.
Richard joins Jeffreys Henry LLP having previously worked at Haines Watts, Mercer & Hole, KPMG, PwC and Arthur Andersen, amongst others in the past 25 years.
He is a highly experienced Chartered Tax Adviser, who has specialised in VAT since 1995. Richard has advised a full range of clients from major multinationals, public companies, owner managed businesses and trusts, through to private individuals and charities.
Richard regularly advises on business model structuring, complex technical VAT matters, and is frequently involved in representing clients in their often complex and contentious disputes with HMRC, assisting a number of clients achieve very positive outcomes. In addition to advising on a full range of VAT issues, he also advises on international trade and customs duty matters.
His particular areas of interest are International/EU Trade (including Brexit and related issues), Online Trading, Property and Property Development, Hotels, Hospitality and Retail, Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Inward Investment and Restructuring.
