A privately owned media consultancy, with a turnover approaching £30m, intended to raise finance by listing or venture capital investment.
They had selected a Big 4 firm of professional advisers as they felt that this would help them attract the desired funding. However, they weren’t getting the appropriate level of service or direction to make this happen within the time frame they required.
Frustrated by the lack of support, they shortlisted three firms – Jeffreys Henry, another mid-tier firm and their existing advisers, and met each to discuss how they would approach their business.
Jeffreys Henry were appointed on the strength of their ability to address all the client’s needs from a senior single point of contact and react swiftly whenever necessary. In addition, the client was reassured by their level of experience in the media sector.
Work was completed for the client before the end of year two that sourced £2m in finance through Jeffreys Henry’s network of contacts within venture capitalists.
